4 down, 1 to go…

Welp, I have one final left tomorrow morning. I just really can’t seem to focus on studying though. Its been raining pretty hard today. I love rainy weather, I feel so cozy sitting in my apartment listening to the rain outside, it’s absolutely wonderful.

Here’s a view from my window, it’s awesome how the rainy streets and color of the sky look.

Tomorrow is the end of my first semester at this university. Academically it’s been pretty sweet. Socially, however, it’s been just okay. My goal for the rest of my time here is to improve in that aspect. I’m usually quite the social butterfly, but for whatever reason this semester has labeled me otherwise. As long as I can keep my grades up and hang with some fun peeps and encounter some fun times, I’m good.

After tomorrow, I can ring the bell of freedom for a couple of weeks before the spring semester starts. I changed my major because I honestly don’t see a future in Communications for myself. I could never seem to answer the question to what I wanted to do with it after I graduate. My new major, which I should have stuck with in the first place is, drum roll please… Liberal Studies with an emphasis in elementary education. I’m so stoked because I’ve always wanted to teach but for some reason or another I decided to put that idea on the back burner. I have rekindled my urge to teach.

Okay, so I guess now would be a good time to study for that last final ;)

REcap.

I accidentally deleted all my blogs.

:/

I’ve been completely BOMBARDED with school work until now, my word!

Back at school this week from a very eventful Thanksgiving break.

Check out thefurnaceonline.org‘s blog and you can see my itinerary- I blog there too.

My plans were slightly altered though, my boyfriend Ryan got in a car accident, he’s fine (thank God). We were at the hospital Tuesday night to Wednesday morning. Emergency Rooms are not much fun I tell you.

Several tests and x-rays later (no he wasn’t drunk) he just fell asleep at the wheel and hit a wall.
:(

His car is a different story, here is the trusty steed :

Whoa, yeah. I know.

On a lighter note, I had one of the most magnificent Thanksgiving dinners with the fam bam. My big sister Tina skyped into our dinner and had her own spot at the table. She’s in Seoul, Korea teaching dance at the Creative Institute for the Arts. Yeah, she’s awesome.

There were too many of us to count, a long table, and lots of AMAZING food.

Roll call: Mom, Dad, Tina (webcam), Manda, Peter, Eve, Ria, David, Linda, Ryan, Solomon, Cynthia and myself.

We do this thing- ‘The Drink’, it’s cool.

My sister Eve and I found a dog roaming the streets of my neighborhood. We called the numbers on his tag and got a busy signal. He hung out and spent the night.. and barked, a lot. He looked like one of the dogs from Best in Show. You haven’t seen it? Hilarious, watch it.

His owners came to pick him up the day after (yes, it was a he, I checked). I was sad to see him go because he was so darn cute, but glad at the same time because he humped everything and everyone in sight. (Sidenote: we had to keep him away from our female dogs- wink wink).

The rest of the weekend was restful, and now I’m back at school.

2 weeks til Christmas break and the end of this semester.

I really feel like making those red & green chain things to countdown to Christmas day…

I wonder what my roommates will think…
